DIVORCE AND SEPARATION GROUP
Dear Syre Parents -
I am forming a group to support children who are impacted by divorce or separation. ?Children who have recently experienced parental separation or divorce are welcome to participate. ?Also, the group may benefit children whose parents have separated or divorced in the past, but are still experiencing difficulties with the change.
Some issues related to divorce and separation that may be addressed in the group include impact of changes in the family structure, the grieving process, legal issues, and step-parenting. ?There will be discussion and activities in each session.
The group will meet once a week for approximately 30 mins. ?Grades K-2 will meet during one afternoon recess per week. ?Depending on the number or students participating grades 3-4 and 5-6 will meet either together or separately during one lunch/recess period per week.
If you are interested in enrolling your child or have questions about this group, please contact me via phone or email, and I am happy to discuss this further.
Kristina Koul, MSW

RECYCLING HELP NEEDED
Adult volunteers are needed to help with lunchtime recycling.??Recycling is a special challenge for our youngest students, so our greatest need is 11:30 to 11:45 daily, helping our kindergarten, first, and second grade students sort their trash and recycling. ?It?s easy and fun. If you can help regularly on one or more days, please go to our website and look for K-2 Recycling under Syre Links. It?s also ok to show up and help. ?Contact Ms. Ford for more information.

SCRIP
Thanksgiving is fast approaching! Stop by the Scrip table on Thursday mornings outside the office (inside the front doors if it?s raining) and pick up Scrip cards from QFC/Fred Meyer and PCC for your holiday food shopping. If you can?t make it on Thursday mornings and would like to purchase cards, email the Scrip coordinator, Molly Kosten (mollyfkosten@gmail.com) and we?ll find a way to get them to you.
